KATHMANDU: Lalitpur District Boxing Association is organising the fourth Nation-wide Open Boxing Tournament and first Nation-wide Junior Boxing Tournament from June 21 in Lalitpur.

Addressing to a press meet on Friday, President of Association Ram Awale said the tournament is organised to develop boxing in Nepal.

A total of 400 players from  26 districts and three departmental teams  are competing in the tournament.

Male event will feature 10 weight categories, while the female will compete in seven weight categories and the junior section will feature seven weight categories.

The gold, silver and the bronze medallists will receive Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 1,000 respectively.

The organisers will bare the logistics expenses of the players from outside the valley.
