Kathmandu, September 17 :

Brihaspati Vidya Sadan bounced back strongly and beat Learning Realm International (LRI) 32-31 in the senior boys’ final at the fifth Baba Inter-school Basketball Championship. Brihaspati tralied by five points in the first quarter (6-11) and the margin widened to nine points as they scored four conceding eight points to LRI in the second quarter.

Brihaspati played like the champions in the third quarter scoring 16 while restricting LRI to 10 points. The crucial final quarter saw Brihaspati scoring six while limiting their opponent to two points. Nitesh Katuwal scored the highest 20 points for Brihaspati while Jeeven Tilija netted 10 points for LRI.

In junior boys’ final, Rhododendron International Boarding School (RIBS) beat The Excelsior 12-10. Avinash Bhattachan scored 12 points RIBS and Shalom Singh netted 10 points for The Excelsior.
