BSAM rout National Model, top Group F

LALITPUR: Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya (BSAM) thrashed National Model Science School 9-1 to become the Group F champions of the Coca-Cola Inter-school National Football Tournament qualifiers here today.

At the FIFA Technical Centre in Chyasal, Anup Subedi and Roshan Rai scored a hat-trick each, while Sudip Gurung, Sunil Khadka and Bhim Thapa netted one each for the winners. Sachin Pariyar scored the consolation goal for National Model.

In other matches, Adarsha Vidhya Mandir (AVM), Bright Future Secondary School and The Imperial Academy registered wins.

AVM defeated Mangalodaya School 3-0 on goals from Ratish Shrestha, Subash Tiwari and Suman Gurung. Samir Budhathoki scored five goals alone as Bright Future overwhelmed Ashirbad Boarding School 6-0. Abhisekh Rokka scored the other goal for Bright Future. Likewise, The Imperial routed Lords Light Academy 10-0. Sandip Thapa and Bikram Thapa scored hat-trick each, while Janak Karki netted two. Nirjan Pun and Bipin Lama also scored for the winners.

At the Sano Gaucharan grounds, North East School, Best Open School, Deep School and Alok Ashram won their Group C matches. Bikash Karki and Rupesh Chhetri scored a brace each as North East outplayed Jugal School 4-0. Bikash scored in the first and 34th minutes, while Rupesh struck in the 55th and 69th minutes.

In the other match, Best Open thrashed Chahana International School 9-0. Santosh Shrestha scored a hat-trick, while Alij Tamang and Subodh Chhetri netted two each. Krishna Khadka and Goman Shrestha also joined the goal scoring spree.

Anish Nepali struck a hat-trick as Deep School defeated Babylone National School 3-1. Nepali opened the scoring in the fourth minute and added other two goals in the 14th and 77th minutes. Bishnu Basyal pulled one back for Babylone.

In the last match of the day, Alok Ashram beat Golden Future School 3-2 in tie breaker

after a 3-3 draw. Amrit Adhikari, Abhiyukta Karki and Samrat Pal scored for Alok Ashram inside the first 13 minutes, while Nanda Bhandari made it 3-1 in the 23rd and Upendra Bohara scored in the 46th and 71st minute to force the tie breaker.
