CAAN Cup

KATHMANDU: Public Enterprises Sports Development Association, Nepal (PESDAN) is organising the 11th CAAN Cup from Sunday.

The event features three events – futsal, table tennis and badminton. A total of 265 employees from 23 institutions will take part in the three-day competition, informed PESDAN President Kul Bahadur Acharya at a press meet on Sunday.

“The ultimate objective of this event is to convince the institutions to provide jobs to the national team players,” said Acharya.

“As we do not have proper venues to conduct sports events, we are also planning to build a multipurpose covered hall with athletics track.

As soon as we acquire lands from the government, we will start the construction of the covered hall,” he added.
