Kathmandu, February 16:

Campion College and Xavier International College advanced to the semi-finals of the Inter-college Running Shield Football Tournament here at Sano Gaucharan today.

Two goals in two minutes gave Campion College 2-1 win over Bhanubhakta Memorial College. Man of the match Nima Lama put Campion ahead in the 11th minute before Suraj Shah added another a minute later. Rabindra Gautam pulled one back in the 29th.

Playing with most of the ‘A’ division players, Xavier International thrashed Jay Devkota Memorial 8-0. Three Star Club’s Nirajan Khadka scored in the 10th and 14th minute, while MPC’s Arjun Rijal and Bhola Silwal added one each.

Kiran Kapali struck twicewhile Bimal Bhattaria and Three Star striker Santosh Sahukhala joined the party scoring one each.

In Friday’s semis, it’s British Gorkha Academy vs Orient, and Xavier International vs Campion College.
