Campus Road, Santoshi Tole win

Campus Road and Santoshi Tole registered victories in the Sagarmatha Cement Dhangadhi Cricket League-3 here on Thursday.
In the matches played at the SSP cricket grounds, Campus Road defeated Hasanpur Royals by four wickets, while Santoshi Tole beat Chauraha by six wickets. Chauraha are at the top of the table with four points from three matches, while Campus Road are second with two wins.
In the first match of the day, Hasanpur Royals were bowled out for a paltry 48 runs in 17.1 overs, while Campus Road raced to 49-6 in 14.1 overs. Binod Lama top scored for Hasanpur Royals with 11 off 21 balls that included two fours, while others failed to score in double figures. Three of their batsmen were out for naught. Lalit Singh Bhandari was the pick of the Campus Road bowlers as he returned with the figures of 4-5 from four overs, while Sagar Bhandari and Santosh Bhatt took two wickets each and Chandra Saud grabbed one.
In reply, Campus Road came under pressure despite chasing a low total but recovered to register an easy win at the end. Opener Amar Dhanuk top scored for Campus Road with 16 off 19 balls that included three fours, while Santosh Bhatt struck a six in his unbeaten run-a-ball 13. Binod Lama and Dipendra Airee claimed two wickets each, while Bikram Thagunna grabbed one for Hasanpur.
In another match, Chauraha were bowled out for 96 runs in 18.2 overs after they opted to bat first, while Santoshi Tole reached 100-4 in 17.5 overs. Yogendra Singh Karki top scored for Chauraha with 19 off 21 balls with two fours, while Dipendra Thapa (14), Bipin Rawal (13) and Sundeep Jora (10) were the only other batsmen to score in double figures. Tekendra Bohara and Prakash Karki claimed three wickets each for Santoshi Tole, while Sunil Dhamala and Amit Budha grabbed two apiece.
In reply, Santoshi Tole made a flying start with openers Sunil Dhamala and Bijay Rana adding 70 runs. Rana remained unbeaten on 39 off 54 balls with three fours and a six, while Dhamala scored 29 off 30 balls that included four fours and a six.
Amit Shahu scored an unbeaten 11 off just nine balls with two fours. Sonu Tamang finished with 4-12 for Chauraha.
