KATHMANDU: CCRC and Xavier International won the titles of the second Rosebud Valleywide Inter-college Basketball Tournament here on Sunday. In boys’ category final, CCRC recorded a hard-fought 58-55 victory over Golden Gate riding on Rajesh Khanal’s 16 points. In girls’ section final, Xavier thrashed Saipal 41-19 in which Sushma Gautam netted 10 points for the winners. CCRC’s Rajesh Khanal and Xavier’s Sushma Gautam were named the most valuable players. Chief basketball coach Dinesh Chandra Nakarmi, Rosebud School President Antu Shrestha and Principal Damodar Dhungana handed over the prizes to the winners. A total of 20 teams, 16 in boys and four in girls sections, competed in the event.
