Champions League draw released

Athens, March 9:

English clubs Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool stayed apart in the Champions League quarter-final draw, while Italy’s AC Milan and AS Roma also avoided each other. English and Italian teams could face each other in the semi-finals.

Roma and United were drawn against each other in the quarter-finals, with Liverpool visiting PSV Eindhoven in the first leg and Chelsea hosting Valencia. Six-time winner Milan will meet four-time winner champions Bayern Munich.

The first leg will be played on April 3-4, with the return legs on April 10-11. UEFA also made the draw for the semi-finals, and that could wind up with Chelsea vs Liverpool — a repeat of their 2005 meeting. The other semi-final could be Roma-Milan. The semi-finals are on April 24-25, with the second legs on May 1-2.
