KATHMANDU: Deepshikha Youth Group is organising the third edition of the Chandragiri Mayor Gold Cup from November 16-23 at the Naikap grounds. Around 10 teams will take part in the tournament which is supported by Chandragiri Municipality.

“We have send invitation to all the 14 ‘A’ division clubs and w will have two teams from our side in this edition,” said tournament convenor and former national football team member Ramesh Budhathoki. The participating teams will be divided into two pools in the knockout tournament.

Top two clubs will receive Rs 650,000 and Rs 300,000 respectively. The best player of the tournament and the highest scorer will earn Rs 30,000 each. Mayor Ghana Shyam Giri said Chandragiri Municipality would support the tournament. “We had provided them with Rs 800,000 last year and we will also support them in this edition,” he added.
