Classic beat KCC in thriller

Bhaktapur, March 25:

Classic College International (CCI) made it to the final of the Wai Wai fifth KCC Running Shield Nationwide Inter-college Cricket Tournament with a thrilling two-run victory over hosts KCC here today.

Batting first, CCI were bowled out for 172 runs in 29.2 overs with man of the match Kuldip Khadka scoring a fluent 62 off 58 balls. In reply, KCC ‘A’ were all out for 170 in the 31.1 overs. Naresh Budhayer and Binod Bhandari also chipped in 17 runs each for CCI. Ram Naresh Yadav, T Rajan and Subhash Bhandari claimed two wickets each for the hosts.

Shibu Budhathoki hit 51, while Amit Alok made 22 and Raju Tandon 16 for KCC. Sher Singh Khatri and Naresh Budhayer took two wickets each for CCI. On Wednesday, Shanti Academy will take on Himalayan White House in the other semi-final.
