CMG Club Sankata came from a goal down to thrash Himalayan Sherpa Club 2-1 and advanced to the final of the 19th Tilottama Gold Cup Football Tournament here at the ANFA Technical Centre grounds in Devi Nagar today.

Ajayi Martins and Sushil KC scored a goal each for Sankata after Chet Narayan Thapa put Himalayan Sherpa ahead in the 26th minute.

However, Sankata’s Martins levelled the score in the 43rd minute. As the match

was heading towards extra time, KC found the back of the nets in the injury time of second half and guided Sankata into the final where they will face either Tribhuvan Army Club or Rupandehi-XI.

Sankata’s Sushil KC was named the man-of-the-match.

TAC and Rupandehi will play in the second semi-final match on Thursday.
