KATHMANDU: A condolence meeting was held on Saturday in the Capital to pay tribute to late senior Vice President of the Nepal Amateur Veterans Athlete Committee (NAVAC), Bhuvan Dev Panta.

The meeting was organised jointly by the NAVAC and the Nepal Veterans Table Tennis Association (NVTTA).

People from various walks of life, officials of the NAVAC, and NVTTA and Minister for Youth and Sports Rajan KC attended the meeting, and paid tribute to Panta.

Speaking at the event, Minister KC recognised the contribution of Panta to sports.

Panta, who was suffering from cancer, died on September 20 in the course of treatment in Singapore.
