Cyclists off to India

KATHMANDU: An eight-member cycling team is on Saturday leaving for India for the 12th South Asian Games slated for Guwahati and Shillong next week. Ayaman Tamang, Ajay Pandit Chhetri, Narayan Gopal Maharjan and Buddhi Bahadur Tamang, Laxmi Magar and Pushpa Kumari Bhandari will take part in the regional games to be held from February 5-16. Coach Indra Bahadur Maharjan and manager Shailendra Dangol will accompany the cyclists to India. National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista bade farewell to the team on Friday.
