Deepak Acharya wins

Deepak Acharya carded a par-72 on the final day for a one-stroke victory over Ramesh Nagarkoti, who had a round of two-over 74, at the the Himalayan Bank Open Golf Tournament at Gokarna Forest Golf Resort today.

The Gokarna pro Acharya was one-stroke behind Deepak Neupane going into the final round, but both Neupane and Nagarkoti failed to play under-par which put him on top with the total tally of one-under 287. Deepak Thapa Magar finished third with one-over 289, while Sabin Sapkota came fourth with 10-over 298.

Another Gokarna pro Pashupati Sharma finished fifth with 19-over 307. However, he was behind three amateurs including his brother Surya. Ravi Khadka won in the amateur’s section with 11-over 299, followed by Tashi Tsering (302) and Surya (304).
