DELRAY BEACH: Top-seeded Andre Agassi was upset by Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-4, 6-2 in the quarter-finals of the Delray Beach Championships on Friday.

Garcia-Lopez will play either Xavier Malisse or Florian Mayer. The other semi-final will feature Tommy Haas of Germany and Vince Spadea of the US. Haas downed Gilles Muller of Luxembourg 6-3, 6-2. Haas has lost only two of 11 matches this year, both to Roger Federer.

Spadea reached his second straight Delray Beach semis with a 6-3, 6-3 win over South Korea’s Lee Hyung-taik.
