LALITPUR: Devi Chaudhary of Nepal Police Club improved her own mark during the fifth Grand Prix Weightlifting Tournament here on Monday. In the tournament held at International Sports Complex to mark the Olympic Day, Chaudhary lifted 59kg in snatch to better her record of 58kg set during the First Open Weightlifting Championship two years ago. Chaudhary, bronze medallist of 12th South Asian Games, lifted 71kg in clean and jerk to win the 53kg weight category gold medal with total lift of 130kg. Also, Manish Ranabhat (48kg) of Tribhuvan Army Club, Ram Kumar Yadhav (52kg) of Saptari and Tul Ram Mahato (56kg) of TAC won gold medals.
