Dish Home extends agreement

Kathmandu, May 10

Dish Media Network Limited and Nepal Sports Journalists Forum today extended the sponsorship deal for the Pulsar Sports Award slated for May 17 at the Army Officers Club.

Chief Executive Officer of Dish Media Network Limited Sudeep Acharya and President of NSJF Mahesh Acharya signed the memorandum of understanding amidst a press meet.

As per the agreement, Dish Media Network Limited will provide NSJF with Rs 700,000 in cash and kind, while the award will be organised in association with Dish Home Action Sports.

Dish Media Network Limited will provide the NSJF with Rs 470,000 in cash and gift hampers worth Rs 230,000. “We will hand over Dish Home Set Top Box each to 28 winners and nominees of the award along with the five lucky winners among the SMS voters,” said NSJF General Secretary Prakash Timalsina.

Dish Media Network Limited CEO Acharya said the company was delighted to be associated with NSJF in bigger way from this edition.

“We believe the award is for athletes and sports and we feel honoured to be a part of this event. Sports is the sector which unites the society and it goes with the motto of Dish Home. We have launched a channel dedicated to sports and we also want to contribute in the development of sports sector,” added Acharya.

The event features eight categories in Player of the Year Male, Female, Youth, Coach, People’s Choice, Para-athlete and Lifetime Achievements awards.

The winners of Male, Female, Coach and People’s Choice will get Pulsar NS160 motorbike each, while other winners will receive Rs 50,000 apiece. The winners and nominees will also get gift hampers.
