Don Bosco enter semis

Lalitpur, June 8:

Kathmandu Don Bosco College defeated defending champions Science and Technology Campus of Biratnagar by four wickets and advanced to the semi-finals of the second KCC Runing Trophy 2004 here today. Invited to bat, Science and Technology Campus were bowled out for 83 runs in 27.4 overs. Shrawan Kumar Thakur top-scored with 21 off 30 balls and Krishna Tamrakar made 14 off 29 balls while rest failed to reach double figure mark.

For Don Bosco, man of the match Ashish Gupta took three wickets conceding 15 runs in six overs. Ritesh Thapa claimed two wickets giving away 13 runs in 5.4 overs and Sabin Pradhan and Bis-hal Thapa took one wicket each.

In reply, Kathmandu Don Bosco overcame the target in 23.1 overs losing six wickets. Sandeep Regmi scored 19 off 31 balls, Bishal Thapa made 18 off 33 balls and Manjoj Shrestha contributed 14 runs. For Science and Technology Campus, Bimalesh Karna took two wickets conceding 11 runs in six overs. Rajnish Kumar, Shrawan Thakur and Krishna Tamrakar claimed one wicket each.
