KATHMANDU: Nitesh Manandhar of Siddhartha Vanasthali Institute and Nisha Shrestha of Public Youth Campus won the titles of the first Inter-college Duathlon on Saturday.

Manandhar completed the 1.8km race, 8km cycling and 1.8km race in 30 minutes and 48 seconds to win the men’s category title. Tek Bahadur Basnet of Shivapuri College came second in 30 minutes and 55 seconds, while Devesh Manandhar of Morgan Engineering and Management College was third in 32 minutes and 29 seconds.

In the women’s category, Shrestha clocked 40 minutes and 56 seconds to finish first, while Pinnacle College’s Sushma Kumal (48:02) and Rojisha Limbu (51:19) came second and third respectively.

A total of 25 participants from 17 colleges took part in the event organised by National College to mark its 20th anniversary.
