KATHMANDU: Former national women’s football team skipper Mamata CK passed away on Thursday night at the age of 32.
She was suffering from jaundice and had been undergoing treatment at Kathmandu Medical College, informed Bimala Paudel, Secretary at Women’s Committee of All Nepal Football Association.
CK represented Nepal in the Women’s Asian Football Championship in 1999.
CK, who played for Kailali in the 1998 Mayor Cup in Kathmandu, was a reliable defender and she also participated in the National Women’s League in Dhangadhi in 2008.
CK was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat on Saturday.
