Luis Figo was named in Portugal’s squad for two World Cup qualifying games, returning to the national side nine months after withdrawing from international soccer. Figo, 32, announced in August he was halting his 15-year international career. The mi-dfielder said international commitments on top of games for Real Madrid were damaging his fitness. Officials hoped for Figo’s return and never awarded his No 7 shirt to any other player.
