KATHMANDU: Sojen Shahi beat Bibek Dangol 3-0 to enter into the second round of the first Dashain Snooker Tournament that began here at the Exclusive Snooker on Monday. Sanjay Mulmi defeated Ramkaji Khadgi and Phurba Sherpa saw off Rajan Gurung by identical scores of 3-1.

Likewise, Sobhit Pokharel, Moti Tamang, Banchu Tamang, Samir Rajlawat, Sumit Shahi, Raj Kapali, Bhuwan Shrestha, Sandeep Thapa, Praveen Shakya, Bikesh Swarnakar, Deepak Thapa, Jay Maharjan, Tshiring Sherpa, Buddha Lama and Bikash Shrestha also won their first round matches. The winner of the tournament will earn Rs 50,000, while runner-up will get Rs 20,000 and two third-placed cueists will receive Rs 5,000 each. Senior player Nima Lama inaugurated the tournament, organised by former Nepal champion Saroj Mulmi.
