Football team returns home

Kathmandu, October 13:

The Nepali football team returned home today after playing the World Cup Asian Zone qualifying away match against Oman on October 8.

Nepal lost the match 2-0 but coach Shyam Thapa was more happy with the scoreline. “Oman have hired an Argentine coach and were under training for the last six months,” he said, praising goalkeeper Ritesh Thapa for his brilliant performance.

Skipper Rakesh Shrestha was also happy with the team’s performance. “We know their game now and hope to excel in front of the home crowd,” he said.

Nepal will play the return leg match on October 28.
