Footballers selected


LALITPUR: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Tuesday selected 45 women footballers for the 11th South Asian Games (SAG) to be held in Dhaka early next year. The players were selected after a five-day observation at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato. A total of 82 footballers from 26 districts had participated in the preliminary selection. The footballers were observed by Mrigendra Mishra, Parash Chaudhary and Kishore K.C. The 45 players will participate in the second stage of selection beginning from November 1. The final 23 players to participate at the regional games will be selected after a month. The women’s football has been included for the first time in the SAG.
