Kathmandu, June 27:

Greenland Children’s Academy won the second GCA Inter-school Girls’ Cricket Tournament beating Rajan Memorial School by 38 runs in the final here today.

Electing to bat first, the hosts GCA were all out for 144 in 24 overs before restricting Rajan Memorial to 106 in 23 overs. Sangita Gauchan quickfired with 32-ball 39 and Rangita Gauchan made 20 in 35 balls for GCA. Barsha Panta chipped in 10.

Player of the match Sandhya Giri took three wickets conceding 31 for Rajan Memorial. Sabbu Ghale, Sarita and Sushma bagged two wickets each.

Sandhya Giri and Sabina Shrestha scored 15 runs each for Rajan Memorial. Gita Chudal of GCA was declared the player of the tournament and Sangita Gauchan the best batswoman. Sandhya Giri won the best bowler award.
