Ghale collected 60 points by finishing

second with the net score of one-over 73 in the eighth and final event of the Surya Nepal Gokarna Monthly Medal to claim the championship after leader Joseph Nathan failed to finish in top 10 in the day’s event.

Going into the final event, Nathan was on top of the leader board with 204 points. But the bad round of golf on Friday saw him drop to third position behind Wang Yi, who earned 40 points as the second runner up with the net score of three-over 75 in the final event, finished second in the championship with a total of 216 points.

Wanchen Dhondup (192) and Tendi Sherpa (180) completed the

top five in the championship. Peter Morris, who carded one-under 71 on Friday and earned 100 points, was sixth in the championship table, while Subodh Thapa (156), Greesh bindra (140) and Manohar Das Mool (136) finished in top 10.

Marketing Manager of Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd Abhijit Chakravorty gave away the prizes to the winners. The club champion was declared after the eight Surya Nepal Monthly Medal Tournaments. The top 10 finishers in every event earned points with the winner receiving 100 points and the golfer earning the most points was declared the winner.
