NUWAKOT: Goodwill Academy and Orchid Academy won their matches of the first Jalpa Fresh Districtwide Inter-school Cricket Tournament here on Saturday. In the day’s first match, Goodwill defeated Souvenir Boarding School by two wickets.

Batting first, Souvenir were bowled out for 83 runs in 12.1 overs, while Goodwill reached 84-8 with five balls to spare. Amik Kumal of Goodwill was named the man-of-the-match.

Likewise, Orchid hammered Global Bhairabi Academy by nine wickets. Global Bhairabi were bowled out for a paltry 44 runs in 11.3 overs before Orchid raced to 45-1 in just 5.2 overs. Kushal Nepali of Orchid won the man-of-the-match award.
