Govt to honour Nepali cricketers with cash prize

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday decided to honour members of Nepali National Cricket team, who secured both the ODI and T20 Int'l series victory against UAE, with a cash prize of Rs 5,00,000 each.

According to Youth and Sports Minister Jagat Bahadur Bishwakarma, the cabinet meeting decided to honour the truimpant cricketers. "The boys have made the nation proud," Minister Bishwakarma shared.

Likewise, leader Bishwakarma speaking at an interaction programme today said, the government is set to build infrastructure for the development of cricket in the nation.

Nepal ended tour to UAE on a high note as they came from behind in both the occasions to beat the hosts 2-1 and secure their maiden ODI and T20 Int'l series victory.
