KATHMANDU: Greenland, Golden Peak, Gauri Shankar, Gyan Niketan, Innovative and Kathmandu Xavier won their senior boys’ section matches at the fourth Valley Public Inter-school Basketball Tournament on Sunday. Greenland defeated Om Gyan Mandir 36-18 and Golden Peak beat Children Academy 31-22. In other matches, Gauri Shankar beat Himalayan 32-29; Gyan Niketan outplayed Deep Jyoti 54-34; Innovative thrashed Bhanubhakta Memorial 39-19 and Kathmandu Xavier routed Babylon 46-17. In senior girls’ section, Daffodil beat hosts Valley Public ‘B’ 23-18; Bishnumati defeated Deep Jyoti 10-4; and Neric outplayed Om Gyan Mandir 20-0.
