KATHMANDU: Himalayan Happy Children Academy and Innovative School won the titles  of the 11th Shridiwa Monsoon Meet Inter-school Basketball Tournament on  Sunday.

HHCA won the boys’ category trophy beating Gyan Niketan 51-42 in the  final. Bishal Rai top scored with 17 points for HHCA.

Likewise, Innovative claimed  girls’ section title with a 31-19 win over hosts Shridiwa in the final.  Priya Darshi was the top scorer for Innovative with 11 points.

HHCA’s Bishal Rai and Innovative’s Binamra Khatri were named the most valuable players.

A total of 26 teams, 15 in boys’ and 11 in girls’ section, competed in the league-cum-knockout format tournament.

Shridiwa International School Principal Prabin Moktan handed over the prizes to the winners.
