Kwik’s Basketball LeagueKATHMANDU: Himalayan Hounds and Bishal Milan Kendra recorded wins in the Kwik’s Basketball League on Tuesday.

Hounds defeated Xavier International College 88-57, while BMK defeated Kirtipur Basketball Team 68-57. Hounds took the first quarter 18-14 before Xavier reduced the deficit winning the second period 15-12.

However, Hounds dominated the remaining two quarters 29-10 and 29-18 to win the match. Manish KC netted 20 points and Bijay Burja scored 13 points for Hounds, while Xavier’s Anish Magar netted 21 points and Ajay Kushwaha contributed 16 points.

In another match, BMK claimed first three periods 22-15, 13-10 and 19-16 to open up a 13-point lead before Kirtipur claimed the fourth by a narrow margin of 16-14.

Currently, Tribhuvan Army Club are leading the standing with 24 points from eight matches, while BMK and Golden Gate are tied on 21 points and Hounds have 18 points.
