KATHMANDU: Hosts Unique Academy and Daffodil School won the junior boys matches during the fifth Unique Inter-school Valleywide Basketball Tournament here on Wednesday.

Unique defeated Young Heart 35-30 and Daffodil sneaked past Awareness International Academy (AIA) 11-7. In other junior boys’ section matches, NOBS beat Paragon 17-2, Gauri Shankar crushed Elite Co-Ed 20-2, Jagat Mandir eased past Constellation 20-8 and HIMS defeated Maha Manjushree 19-11.

In the senior boys’ three-on-three, Galaxy saw off Constellation 12-6, Unique hammered Universal 34-6, Nitin Memorial (NIMS) beat Jagat Mandir 29-20 and Kantipur edged past Midland 10-6.

Roshita Tamang scored eight points to give Daffodil a 27-10 win over NOBS and NIMS outclassed Lumbini

34-8 riding on eight points from Sangita Shrestha in the senior girls’ section.
