POKHARA: Binod Poudel of KEF, Ashesh Tripathi and Bikal Baral of Mother Land school and Nirmal Thapa Magar of New Moon Light School shared the lead with two points each on the first day of the Inter-school Chess Championship, organised by Kaski District Chess Association, here on Sunday. All the four players won their first and second round matches.

Likewise, Nitesh Gurung, Subhash Chhetry, Govinda Gurung, Sudip Subedi, Milan Gurung, Rojin Bijukchhe, Sumit Pradhan and Sudesh Chhetry accumulated one point each to jointly stay at the second position.

A total of 18 players from 10 schools of Pokhara are taking part in the championship. Earlier, Central Committee Member of Nepal Chess Association Madhav Prasad Pradhan inaugurated the championship.
