Judo team departs

KATHMANDU: A 12-member Nepali team is leaving for Thailand to participate in the Asian Junior and Cadet Judo Tournament to be held in Bangkok from October 8-12.

Roshan Bahadur Dong and Manita Shrestha will take part in Cadet category, while Dinesh Budha Magar, Phupu Lhamu Khatri and Poonam Shrestha will take part in junior section bouts. Coach Deepak Krishna Shrestha, manager Ram Krishna BC and officials Prem Lama and Pratima Lama will accompany the players to Bangkok.

Meanwhile, international referees Dharma Kumar Shrestha and Manoj Bahadur KC are leaving for Bangkok to participate in the IFJ Referee Seminar, while Nepal Judo Association President Deepak Harsha Bajracharya is scheduled to take part in the executive committee meeting of Judo Union of Asia.

Bajracharya is the Education Coaching Director of the Union. NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista bade farewell to the team.
