KATHMANDU: A six-member team is on Thursday leaving for Thailand to participate in the Thailand International Judo North Bangkok University Championship slated for June 15-16 in Chiang Mai.

Umesh Magar (below-60kg) and Indra Bahadur Shrestha (below-66kg) will compete in men’s section, while Debika Khadka (below-52kg) and Manita Shrestha Pradhan (below 57kg) will take part in women’s competition.

Coach Ravi Chaudhary and manager Hem Raj Bhandari will accompany the players to Thailand.

NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista and Nepal Judo Association President Deepak Harsha Bajracharya bade farewell to the team on Wednesday.
