KATHMANDU: Kashmira Shah and Sadbhav Acharya won the titles on the first day of the Qatar Airways Open Golf Tournament here at the Gokarna Golf Club on Friday.

Shah lifted the women’s section trophy with the score of 31 points, while Arsiya Banu was second with 28 and Pratima Sherpa came third with 26.

In junior category, Acharya accumulated 21 points in the nine-hole competition.

Mayank Dahal was a distant second with 13 points.

A total of six women and eight junior golfers completed their rounds on Friday, while 72 players will compete in other categories of the tournament.

The winner of the event will receive open destination air ticket from Qatar Airways.
