POKHARA: Kaski District Football Association threatened Sahara Club of taking away the grass of Pokhara Stadium pitch before the start of the 17th Aaha Rara Gold Cup on Thursday.
The Kaski FA had asked Sahara to bear 50 per cent of the maintenance cost of the ground and the situation got worse when Kaski FA President Gurung and his team entered the stadium with dozer.
Kaski District Sports Development Committee President Yam Bahadur Gurung and Treasurer Deepak Godar facilitated talks between the two sides and both the parties agreed on the amount of Rs 200,000.
As per the agreement, Sahara Club President Keshav Bahadur Thapa handed over the cheque to Kaski FA President Gurung.
Kaski FA had organised the Manakamana Cable Car Pokhara Cup at the same venue two weeks earlier.
