KCC in final

Bhaktapur, February 11:

Hosts Kantipur City College ‘blue’ cruised to the Wai Wai fourth KCC Inter-College Cricket Running Trophy final with a seven-wicket win over Himalayan College of Agriculture Science and Technologies (HICAST) here at the Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya today.

Batting first, HICAST were bowled out for 48 runs in 14.2 overs with almost half the total (21 runs) coming through extras. Sumit Sharma claimed three wickets conceding just three runs in four over for KCC. Amit Alok also finished 3-14 off four overs and Prajwol Karki picked up one wicket. Three batsmen were run out.

In reply, KCC ‘blue’ chased the total in 11.5 overs losing three wickets.

Aswin Sharma scored 15 runs and T Rajan contributed 10 runs. Anand Singh, Hemanta Sapkota and Amit Bhandari shared one wicket each for HICAST. Sumit Sharma of KCC was named the man of the match. The hosts will take on Himalayan White House International College for the championship on Tuesday.
