KCTC victorious

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Cricket Training Centre (KCTC) and Ujwol Sishu Niketan started the TIP Top U-16 Cricket Tournament with victories at the Laboratory School grounds here on Tuesday. KCTC thrashed G-Force Cricket Academy by 134 runs, while Ujwol Sishu Niketan edged Angel’s Heart by 38 runs. Batting first in the first match of the day, KCTC scored a mammoth 239-2 in 20 overs and restricted G-Force for 105-6 in 20 overs. Bipin Acharya scored 77 off 56 balls for KCTC, while Rit Gautam remained unbeaten for 63 off 28 balls. Sumit Shrestha top scored for G-Force with 29 runs. In another match, Ujwol Sishu Niketan made 112-8 in 20 overs and packed Angel’s Heart for 74 runs in 18.2 overs. Sumit Chand top scored for Ujwol Sishu Niketan with 41 runs, while Prashant Neupane made 22 for Angel’s Heart.
