Kathmandu, February 1:

Gokarna Golf Club is organising a golf tournament at the Le Meridien Gokarna Forest Resort Golf Course on Saturday to bid farewell to Indian Ambassador Shiv Shankar Mukherjee.

Ambassador Mukherjee will be leaving Nepal later this month after the completion of his diplomatic term. He is an ardent golfer who always took the opportunity to play a round during weekends.

The farewell tournament will be played over 18 holes on a stableford format with 3/4 handicap allowance. Nearly 60 amateur golfers will navigate to the golf course on Saturday morning to win attractive prizes. The major attraction of the tournament will be a prize for a hole in one — Kia Car. Chaudhary Group has also sponsored prizes for the event.
