Killers join Yellers in final

Kathmandu, January 25:

Kantipur Killers joined Yeti Airlines Yellers in the final after winning both their matches in the Dabur Chayawanprash Pro-40 Cricket Tournament here today.

With two wins against VOITH Victors and Shangri-La Sharks today, Killers advanced to the final as runner up to Yellers. The Yellers won all their three matches to earn nine points three more than the Killers.

In the first match, the Killers beat VOITH Victors by four wickets. Batting first, the Victors were all out for 83 in 16.3 overs. Diwas Thakuri made 16 and Sujin Adhikari 15. Kundan Singh and Raj Kumar Pradhan claimed three wickets each for the Killers.

The Killers chased the total in the 14.5 overs losing six wickets. Sunam Gautam made 18, Yaswant Subedi 13 and Pradhan 12 not out. Sudip Sharma and Raju Khadka took two wickets each for the Victors.

In the second game, Kantipur Killers beat Shangri-La Sharks by 14 runs. The Killers were bowled out for 89 in 18 overs but defended the total by dismissing the Sharks for 75 runs in 14.4 overs, thanks to a five-wicket haul from Shakti Gauchan. Gauchan took 5-10 in four overs. Pradhan also took two wickets for the Killers.

The Killers will take on the Yellers in final on Saturday.
