Kathmandu, February 21

Kirtipur Basketball Team and Tribhuvan Army Club recorded victories in the Kwik’s Basketball League today.

Kirtipur defeated Team Budhanilkantha Municipality 75-67 for their second victory, while TAC outplayed South Siders Basketball Club 86-68 to make it three in a row.

In the day’s first match, Kirtipur took first three quarters 19-15, 21-16 and 18-12 to open up 15-point lead.

Budhanilkantha claimed the fourth period 24-17 but they failed to avert the defeat.

Kirtipur’s Anil Khadgi Shahi netted 21 points, while Abhishek Singh contributed 20 points with three assists. Similarly, Budhanilkantha’s Biraj Rana and Saugat Deep Singh netted 12 points each.

In another match, TAC took the first period 18-12 and won second 24-11 before South Siders claimed the third period 25-22. TAC took the fourth set 22-20 to win the match.

TAC’s Rabin Khatri netted 29 points and Sadish Pradhan added 23 points, while Sanjay Byanjankar netted 26 points.
