Agrawal takes lead after Day-I

KATHMANDU: Kishan Agrawal took the lead after the first day of the Ruslan Golf Tournament, the first event under the centenary celebrations of the Royal Nepal Golf Club here on Friday.

Played under stableford full handicap format, the 16-handicap amateur Agrawal scored 65 nett to stay at the top of the leaderboard.

He took the turn at 41 and played 40 on the two halves for the gross score of 81.

Phintso Ongdi Lama, Pratima Sherpa and HK Singh are tied at the second position on 67.

In junior section, Swapnil Bhattarai is at the top of the standing with the score of 30, while Shaswot Pradhan (26) and Devansh Agrawal (24) are second and third.

A total of 63 players completed their rounds on Friday, while another 72 golfers will play on Saturday.
