LALITPUR: Nepalaya English Public School defeated Gorkha High School 1-0 in the Kwik’s Cup Inter-school National Football Tournament here at the ANFA Complex grounds on Wednesday.

Sagar Theeng scored the solitary goal of the match.

In another match, Wonderland thrashed Shramik 5-0. Manil Kangdangwa and Nishan Gurung scored two goals each, while Sahil Limbu netted one for the winners. Also, Smriti Boarding School edged past Srijana Gyansagar 3-2.

Prasant Pratap Sen, Ankit Sijapati Thapa and Sadin KC scored for Smriti, while Rajan Pande and Diwash Adhikari replied for Srijana.

In the day’s last match, Saraswoti High School outplayed Province 6/7 team 8-1. Sandip Dhami scored a hat-trick, while Anish Dhami, Manish Kumar and Kiran Kumar netted one each for Saraswoti, who were also gifted with two own goals from Rajan BK and Bishal Sahu.

Suraj Negi scored the consolation for Province 6-7 team.
