DAMAULI: Satyabati School and Barahi School registered victories in the opening day matches of the Kwik’s Cup Inter-school Football Tournament here on Monday.

Satyabati defeated Ram Shah School, while Barahi edged past Marshyangdi Bal Jyoti School by identical 1-0 margins. A total of 10 school teams are taking part in the tournament.

The winning side will advance to the province-level tournament of Gandaki Province. Earlier, Inspector of Nepal Police Mahesh Raj Pathak and President of Tanahun District Football Association Ratna Kumar Shrestha among others inaugurated the tournament.
