Lama slams NSC

KATHMANDU: All Nepal Kabaddi Association President Lal Kumar Lama slammed the National Sports Council for forming an ad hoc committee without taking his consent and claimed that the association led by him was still in existence. NSC on Sunday formed an ad hoc committee under the leadership of Tulsa Thapa, wife of CPN-UML leader Bamdev Gautam. NSC claimed that the new committee was formed after taking consent from the two existing associations and all had agreed to dissolve their bodies. Lama-led committee is registered at the NSC, while the association under Sunil Rajkarnikar is recognised by Nepal Olympic Committee. However, Lama said that he was not informed about the decision. “The decision of NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista is politically motivated and we will not let him run the show,” said Lama, who has been named as first vice president of the ad-hoc committee. Lama also threatened of knocking court doors if the mistakes were not corrected on time. “We will wait until Member Secretary Bista returns from Brazil,” he added.
