LALITPUR: Renjan Lama and Mahika Rana won the U-18 singles titles of the 14th Jayakar Memorial National Open Lawn Tennis Tournament here on Saturday. Lama defeated Bibek Shrestha 6-0, 6-0 in boys’ final, while Rana beat Eni Mathema 6-7, 7-5, 6-1 in girls’ final. Prashant Basnet won the boys’ U-14 title with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Dipesh KC. Era Rawat had won the girls’ title on Friday. Other winners of the tournament included Aditya Subedi and Shubhangi Laxmi Shah (U-9), Aarav Samrat Hada and Rayana Shah (U-10), Renjan Lama and Sakshyam Karki and Mayanka Rana and Mahika Rana (doubles). A total of 101 players participated in 10 events. The tournament carried a cash purse of Rs 242,000. Meanwhile, Manjayakar Tennis Academy felicitated Nepal Police School coach Ram Krishna GC.
