Lamshal seeks support

KATHMANDU: Acting Member Secretary of National Sports Council (NSC) Bishnu Prasad Lamshal stressed on the need for the national associations to follow the financial regulations, submit an annual report and organising the national games at least once in a year.

“The national associations are the strength of the NSC and the ad hocism

in the associations should be ended as soon as possible,” said Lamshal at an interaction programme organised by the NSC.

Lamshal said he would meet the national sports associations’ officials to decide about Nepal’s participation in the 11th South Asian Games to be held in Bangladesh next year.

Speaking on the occasion, All Nepal Football Association President Ganesh demanded the NSC to treat all the association as equal. Meanwhile, Nepal Judo Association President Deepak Harsha Bajracharya was manhandled during the programme. Two persons manhandled Bajracharya accusing him of providing wrong information to media about them.
