LALITPUR: Alpha beat Gyanodaya Bal Batika 36-34 in the girls’ section final at the 13th Eicher Gyan Carnival National School-level Basketball Tournament. Mahima Gurung of Gyanodaya was named the Most Valuable Player. In boys’ final, Wilson Academy beat Gyanodaya 70-54. Karma Lama of Wilson was decalred the MVP. — HNS

LALITPUR: Puspanjali and Little Angels’ won their matches at the 11th Fr Moran Memorial Inter-school Football Tournament. Bijay Pariyar scored two and Madan Kumar Shahi and Damodar Regmi netted one each as Puspanjali defeated Daffodil 4-0. LAS outplayed CPS 6-0 while DAV and St Xavier’s ‘B’ played a 0-0 draw. — HNS
