Adarsha rout Don Bosco

MADHYAPUR: Thakur Shrestha struck a hat-trick as Adarsha Secondary School of Sano Thimi thrashed Kathmandu Don Bosco 7-0 and entered the quarter-finals of the first Inter-school Invitational Football Tournament, which has been organised by Madhyapur Youth Association, here on Friday. Arjun Khadka, Ravin Bainju, Hem Magar and Ravin Neupane scored one each for Adarsha. Thakur Shrestha was named the Attsh man of the match. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Ajay Thapa, Ashish Rai, Govinda Karki and Dipendra Rai entered the 25-kg section semi-finals at the first Nepal Jeetkundo National Tournament here at the Dasharath Stadium on Friday. Bikash Prasi, Rajiv Bajracharya, Ramesh Lama and Ashok Lama made it to the 44.5-51kg section semi-finals. In all, 231 players including 26 in women’s section are taking part in the tournament that ends on Saturday. — HNS
